If you love to sing and enjoy performing, then we are the group for you!! Smoky Mountain Harmony A Cappella Show Chorus offers you a room full of instant friends when you walk in the door. You do not have to be able to read music to be a part of this exciting chorus, just be able to carry a tune. We have learning media that will aid and assist you in learning this uniquely American art form of women’s 4-part harmony sung in the barbershop style.
It’s almost like being on Broadway being a part of a Sweet Adelines International chorus. We sing great music such as Broadway show tunes, Pop, Country, and of course traditional barbershop. We have exciting choreography right down to our front line doing some pretty impressive hoofing!! We have beautiful costumes that catch the eye – but most of all our energized sound and love of singing just jumps off the stage and engages the audience. We don’t always “go whole hog” though. When performing at community events, assisted living centers, and private functions we do “tone it down” a bit, but our love of singing is always apparent no matter where we are performing.
We would LOVE to have you come and visit us, and see exactly what we are all about. We rehearse every Monday night at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6900 Nubbin Ridge Road in Knoxville. General Information
Smoky Mountain Harmony has performed for a variety of special events and functions; both charitable and private engagements. We can provide a quartet, a double quartet, or the entire chorus depending on the needs of your event. We require very little setup or equipment. Since we are an a cappella group all we need is a place to stand. We're sure to make your special event a memorable one.
